​Drake Cashes In Big! Rap Superstar Wins $1 Million After Canada’s Narrow World Cup Victory


Canadian rap icon Drake is celebrating a huge betting win after Canada edged past South Africa with a 1-0 victory in their FIFA World Cup knockout match.

The Toronto-born superstar reportedly staked $770,000 (more than ₦1 billion) on Canada to advance. The gamble paid off, returning just over $1 million, earning him an estimated $231,000 profit from a single match.

Before kickoff, Drake revealed there was more than money behind the bet. According to him, a playful exchange with South African DJ Black Coffee inspired him to increase the stakes.

“@realblackcoffee was chirping in the DM… I had to raise the STAKES.”

The friendly rivalry ended with Drake having the last laugh as Canada secured the win and his wager hit.

This isn’t the first time Drake has made headlines for high-stakes sports betting. The rapper is well known for placing eye-catching bets on major sporting events, including the NBA Finals, UFC championship fights, boxing bouts, and international football tournaments.
